Out of context you could be forgiven for thinking that we employ psychopaths at Blonde. An early morning conversation went something like this…

“What did you do last night?”, “Oh nothing special just went on a mindless killing spree, what about you?”, “held someone up against a wall and physically strangled them to death - it was great fun”, “nice”. It actually reminded me of a conversation I had with my mother a few years ago where she proudly exclaimed that she could “take out a tiger with two shots from her Uzis” - we are a gaming family and Lara in the old days was indeed a revelation.

So Final Fantasy XII arrived (finally) and the Godfather has descended on the Wii and as usual Fraser and I are spending far too much free time in front of a screen.

I have to say that FFXII is a real treat and I’m trying my best not to burn it up in a few weeks as titles like this just don’t come around that often - development time definitely well spent.

Godfather (Blackhand Edition) is a cross between Grand Theft Auto and Wii Sports Boxing. It’s very engaging though ever so slightly disturbing.

It’s not one to buy for the kids but it’s a good single player non-puzzle game for the Wii which puts the controllers to good use, something the console has been short on so far.
